From the roof of the shopping centre, all the skyscrapers that gave the city its second name \u201eMainhattan\u201c for a reason, make the perfect photo opportunity and especially at sunset you\u2019ll meet a bunch of photographers with tripods and big lenses up there. And the best part: the access is free!

R\u00f6merberg<\/h2>\n

When you thing of Frankfurt, you think of skyscrapers, banking and the international airport, but there is also a very pretty old part of town. At R\u00f6merberg lies the Town Hall of Frankfurt, which is one of the oldest and prettiest in Germany. Around the \u201eGerechtigkeitsbrunnen\u201c (fountain of justice) emperors have been elected and crowned. The east side of the square is framed with medieval half-timbered houses, that have been rebuilt in the 80ies, named \u201eBig Angel\u201c or \u201eGolden Griffin\u201c. Just off the square you\u2019ll find the imperial cathedral, the historical museum and the post modern \u201eSaalgasse\u201c.<\/p>\n

St\u00e4del Museum<\/h2>\n

As museum of the year 2012, the St\u00e4del Museum is a must for any art lover visiting Frankfurt, the building and gardens alone are totally worth a visit. There’s a big permanent exhibition and changing special exhibits you can see for 12\u20ac, the shop offers a wide range of great art and design books and prints, cloakroom and the gardens admission is free. If its a nice day just start a walk from R\u00f6merberg, crossing the Main at \u201eEiserner Steg” bridge and walk along the riverside, where many other museums are located, to St\u00e4del Museum.
